Mission & Vision
Earlier this year, ESIG and its members have agreed on a vision statement for our association and taken the opportunity to update our mission.
OUR VISION:
To be seen as the point of reference for the safe and sustainable use of solvents, enabling science-based decision-making for stakeholders and regulators alike.
OUR MISSION:

- Promote the safe and sustainable use of solvents
- Advocate for the regulatory framework relevant to the manufacture, storage, distribution and application of solvents to be based on sound science and best practice
- Provide advice and guidance across the value chain to comply with the latest legislation
European Coating Show
ESIG participation at the European Coating Show in March 2023 in Nuremberg
From 28 to 30 March, ESIG, along with our colleagues from CEPE, the European Council of the Paint, Printing Ink and Artists’ Colours, participated as exhibitors at the European Coatings Show (ECS) in Nuremberg. ECS is a renowned trade fair in the paints and coatings industry and is widely recognized as a leading event in the field. This year, more than 24,000 attendees from all over the world came to see the three-day exhibition.
During the event, we presented our solvents@work and other safety and promotional materials that not only showcased the practical applications of solvents but also provide valuable information on the role of solvents, their safe use and the overall mission of ESIG.
Our stand at ECS served as a hub of engagement and knowledge sharing. It was truly rewarding to connect with visitors who took the time to stop by and learn more about our work. We had the pleasure of engaging in meaningful discussions, addressing queries, and sharing insights into our initiatives.
